Viv Williams comes to Cefni

Llangefni have moved quickly to strengthen the management side with Viv Williams joining Gus to assist in the running of the team.

As we all know Viv did an outstanding job when he returned to Porthmadog to keep them in the WPL with a win against Rhyl in the last game and we hope he brings a similar impact to our challenge to get back there.

He has an often reported high profile playing career, successful management and an intimate knowledge of the local football scene and the players who can make the difference. He and Gus form a 'dream team' in our quest for success and we welcome him and support him in this important role.

Manager Gus Williams has moved quickly to secure his squad for the new season.

Committed to stay so far are Mitchell, Kehoe, Thomas, Austin, Ady Glo, Danny Glyn and Liam Ewing, 3 players are stepping up from the reserves - Gareth Allman, Tom Roberts and Iwan Jones.

Making a welcome return from Holyhead is Lee Dixon whilst a definite departure is Craig Hogg who has chosen to pursue his career at a higher level, the club wishes to thank him for all his efforts over the last few years and to wish him well for the future.

Gus is in discussion with numerous other players from last season and other clubs and we will keep you informed of who is staying, coming in or going as they happen and will post pre-season fixtures as soon as they are confirmed.
