Another good workout against a well established club from the higher levels of the English pyramid up here on tour.

A varied side out due to trialists, holidays and a couple of injuries, that did well throughout the team, moving the ball quickly and accurately to feet and creating several good chances in the first half. We looked comfortable at the back and Paul Whitfield making his first appearance was rarely troubled. The midfield controlled much of the play and pushed on well to support the strikers with their keeper making several saves plus some goal line blocks.

2nd half they freshened things up and tightened their formation and from a good opening took an early lead, which they looked like consolidating. We came back strongly and from a long clearance Kev Lloyd spotted the keeper off his line and beat him with a 45 yard chip to tie the game up. There were few further chances for either side with the final result standing at 1-1.

The team and management will have benefitted from this workout with areas to look at on the training ground.

Forum

On Saturday the forum was hit with a link containing a malignant spybot which if opened could potentially cause problems to the user's computer system; it appears to avoid the usual protection software.

As we do not want to be held responsible for any problems, the forum has been taken down temporarily for cleansing and to enable  contact to be made to the sender - who is local.

We expect to have the work completed over the next couple of weeks and the forum will be restored when we are confident the issue has been resolved, our apologies to all members who use this as their main contact point with the club.
