News Update as at 26/6/09

Contract players retained for next season - contracts have been agreed with Darren Thomas and Geraint Mitchell, other negotiations are ongoing.

Other confirmed signings, are Gerallt Jones the experienced and outstanding left sided defender who joins us from Holyhead plus last year's players Warren Gibbs and Rich Higham two very important pieces to the team jigsaw who both had an exceptional impact last season.

There will be more news of players retained and new ones coming in, when they are fully registered after next weekend's Cymru Alliance AGM.

Club AGM is tonight, Monday 15th at the club house.

Another pre season home game has been arranged for 1st August against Prescot Cables of the Northern premier (N) league.

16/6/09 - Pre-season game at home against Porthmadog on 8th August

19/6/09 - Confirmed players registered - Danny Glyn Roberts, hoping to put last seasons injury problems behind him and Grahame Austin signing for his 11th season and of course Chris Williams is under contract for next season.

22/6/09 - Confirmation that Kev Roberts has signed on for next season.

23/6/09 - Confirmation that Ywain (Ows) Gwynedd has also signed for next season

23/6/09 - Confirmation of the signing of keeper Liam Shanahan the outstanding young player from Porthmadog, another great acquisition by the new managers in the face of stiff competition from many other clubs.

One of the final pieces in the grand plan.

26/6/00 - more good news comes our way - Ian Hughes our assistant manager and academy director, who is also Football Development Office for Gwynedd, has just passed his 'A' licence coaching badge. The club extend our congratulations to him on this outstanding achievement, he is surely one of the youngest coaches in the UK at this level and puts him on equal footing with our departed manager Gus.

More League changes

15th June 2009

So the slight change to the super ten premier league is to a super 12 - then 11 then 10. Big change that and makes very little difference to us. Our priority for promotion is to achieve our Domestic Licence, as this is mandatory now for the premier league, and then win the league. There will be a few clubs striving for the same this coming season as well as us  - Caernarfon, Holyhead, Buckley, Flint, Llandudno and possibly others including the promoted teams. After next season it will be even more competitve with up to 8 clubs coming down, the majority of whom will have their licence and big budgets to get back up.

Interesting future both on and off the pitch, but something the club has already proved it is capable of achieving.
