Thanks to Bangor City

Many thanks to Bangor City for sending along their young reserves and youth squad for a good workout which both teams needed after recent lay offs through the weather. Depsite having to cut short the last 10 minutes due to a technical fault in the generator - which we didn't want to turn into a major breakdown with the Christmas games coming up - the experience was well worth the late effort. The pitch although soft in places, held up well and it was good to get a game in against a side that play football as it's meant, on the ground, at pace and to feet. Far better than any training session and just the pick me up for the weekend (fingers crossed for the weather in mid Wales).

I was impressed by the abilities of the young Bangor players and can see that long term Bangor will not have the problem of importing players from long distance when they have the ready made article on their doorstep.

Any scores were imaterial and would only detract from what was really a well organised workout with no injuries sustained and a continual rotation of players, just what the 'doctor ordered' for our match rusty lads.

Again thanks to all who took part and made the mangers' efforts worth while.

FRIENDLY GAME TOMORROW

In the absence of proper match practice and things not looking too good for this weekend, Lee and Ian and have arranged a home friendly against a Bangor squad for tomorrow night - Wednesday 2nd December. 7:30 kick off and Free Admission to all, so come along and enjoy an evening out.

Missed Game

the cancelled game yesterday saw us lose top spot to Flint who scored a last minute winner against Caernarfon, but Llandudno dropped points at Lex. Let's hope that Mold can take something off Flint on Tuesday and then our big match at their place on 19th December will see us with a game in hand.
